Nvidia launches the GeForce GTX 550 Ti

The GeForce GTX 550 Ti features fully-fledged GF116 chip with 192 stream cores, 32 texture units, 16 render back ends and 192-bit GDDR5 memory controller. The chip is clocked at whopping 900MHz and its stream processors operate at 1800MHz. The company recommends its partners to install 1.5GB of memory clocked at 4100MHz. The novelty fully supports DirectX 11, OpenGL 4.0, OpenCL 1.0 as well as Nvidia's proprietary technologies, such as 3DVision, PhysX, SLI and so on.
The predecessor of the novelty - the GeForce GTS 450 - did not feature 192-bit memory bus and also formally belonged to lower-class of solutions.
